Across both Kansas City and Omaha facilities, MKS keeps more than 8,500 items locally stocked to support new construction, system upgrades, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs.

What types of pipe does MKS carry?

MKS carries carbon, stainless, and specialty pipe for commercial and industrial systems, in a wide range of sizes and specifications. The pipe inventory is built to support mechanical contractors, industrial facilities, and engineering firms across the Midwest. If a specific schedule, alloy, or specialty pipe is not on the shelf, the MKS purchasing team can source it through our Affiliated Distributors network.

What types of valves does MKS sell?

MKS sells industrial valves engineered for control, safety, and performance across steam, fluid, and process systems. The valve inventory supports mechanical contractors, maintenance teams, and engineering firms working in manufacturing, food and beverage, healthcare, and commercial construction. For projects that require valve modification or assembly, the in-house valve actuation team can build to spec.

Does MKS make custom gaskets?

Yes. MKS cuts custom gaskets in-house, which means contractors and facilities are not waiting on outside lead times. MKS produces custom-cut gaskets and sealing solutions for high-performance systems, sized and specified to the application. Submit a print, sample, or set of dimensions, and the gasket team can typically turn custom work around quickly.

Can MKS fabricate custom pipe or build specialty components?

Yes. MKS operates an in-house machine shop that handles custom gaskets, valve actuation, pipe fabrication, and specialty PVF components. If a stock part will not fit the application, the MKS team can build, modify, or assemble what the job needs. Call (888) 665-2696 or email info@mkspvf.com to discuss a custom project.

Same-day pickup is also available through will call at either facility during business hours.

How does MKS deliver orders?

MKS offers three fulfillment options: on-site delivery from the Kansas City and Omaha facilities, shipping for customers outside the local delivery range, and will call pickup at either facility during business hours. Choose the option that fits the project timeline when placing the order, or let the MKS team recommend the fastest path based on the jobsite or facility location.

Steam Systems and Training

What is the MKS Steam Lab?

The MKS Steam Lab is an on-site classroom and steam systems training program operated out of the Kansas City facility. It offers steam system education for apprentices, project managers, mechanical contractors, and facility teams who want a deeper working knowledge of steam traps, condensate return, safety relief valves, and system optimization. Workshops are scheduled throughout the year, and private team sessions are available on request.

Does MKS offer steam trap audits and safety relief valve testing?

Yes. MKS provides steam trap audits and safety relief valve testing at customer facilities. Steam trap audits identify failed or underperforming traps that waste energy and create system risk. Safety relief valve testing verifies that critical pressure protection devices are operating to spec. Contact MKS at (888) 665-2696 or info@mkspvf.com to schedule either service.

When is the next MKS Steam Lab workshop?

The next public MKS workshop is Steam & Condensate Basics on August 12, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Kansas City facility, 1202 Adams Street. The cost is $212 per person and includes breakfast, lunch, and all workshop materials. Space is limited to 15 attendees, and registration closes when the class is full.

Can MKS host a private workshop for my team?

Yes. MKS offers private team sessions for contractor crews, maintenance teams, and engineering staff in a custom lunch and learn or full workshop format. Reach out to kellyb@mkspvf.com to discuss content, scheduling, and pricing for a private session at the MKS Steam Lab or at your facility.
